For the summer, join us every other Tuesday at 1pm. Come to the library for a cup of coffee, a sweet treat, and either a movie or a presentation. The doors will open at 12:30p.

Synopsis: Dr. Indiana Jones, a renowned archeologist and expert in the occult, is hired by the U.S. Government to find the ark of the covenant, which is believed to still hold the Ten Commandments. Unfortunately, Hitler's agents are also after the ark. Indy and his ex-flame Marion escape from various close scrapes in a quest that takes them from Nepal to Cairo (PG, 1h 55m, 1981).

Synopsis: This Oscar-winning drama, based on the writing of Lillian Hellman, depicts the relationship between two friends and its unexpected consequences. After Lillian (Jane Fonda), a renowned playwright, reunites in Russia with her childhood playmate Julia (Vanessa Redgrave), the writer is recruited to smuggle funds into Germany to aid the anti-Nazi movement (PG, 1h 56m, 1977).

Join us for a conversation about a classic work or author you have always meant to read. Don't let the reputation scary you; we will get through the book together. 

For 2023, we are going to focus on Toni Morrison. Together we will read four of her novels, and some of her essays.
