State of Craft Beer

Author and Wisconsin native Matthew Janzen will speak about his recently published book, “State of Craft Beer,” a unique journey through Wisconsin that captures the people and places behind the state’s extensive craft beer industry. The photos and stories explore every aspect of the brewing process, visiting the fields and factories that supply breweries with everything from hops and barley to brewing equipment and tap handles.

Janzen will also speak about the two-year journey that went into publishing his book, including visiting more than 130 locations, taking over 30,000 photos, as well as overseeing production of the book itself — which was also 100 percent manufactured in Wisconsin.

This event is free to the public and attendees will be invited to Lake Louie Brewing (7556 Pine Rd, Arena, WI 53503) afterward, where guests can sample some free Wisconsin beer and take a tour of the facility. “State of Craft Beer” will be available for purchase after the presentation as well as at the reception.
