Story Hike at the Spring Green Preserve!

We'll read an Eric Carle story or two about using our senses to discover the world around us. Then we'll use those skills as we take a stroll through the "Wisconsin Desert," home to cacti and other flora and fauna rare to our area!

Please bring lawn chairs to sit on during story time. You may also want to wear sunscreen and comfortable shoes, and bring water and binoculars. No restrooms are available at the Preserve. Though mask-wearing is optional, we will do our best to maintain social distancing. This is a family-friendly event suitable for all ages.

The Story Hike will be led by Library Director (and former Youth Librarian) Lisa Thomas, who has worked in conservation with The Nature Conservancy, Wisconsin DNR, and Living Forest Cooperative.

The Preserve is accessible via Angelo Lane, just past E5196A Jones Road, Spring Green.

In the case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to June 19.
